Welcome to The Sleep Disorders Clinical Masterclass Series which is co-chaired by Dr Chad M. Ruoff and Dr Michael Thorpy. This is a twelve-month initiative, consisting of monthly instalments. These will be led by two guest presenters who will each deliver a 15 minute presentation, followed by a group discussion with the co-chairs. Welcome to the first of 12 monthly episodes in the Sleep Disorders Clinical Masterclass Series.
This month we are joined by Dr Alon Avidan, from the UCLA Dept of Neurology and Sleep Disorders Center in Los Angeles, who firstly discusses Recognizing narcolepsy by the symptoms. He will then present on The diagnostic criteria and its pitfalls in the diagnosis of narcolepsy. It is co-chaired by Dr Michael Thorpy, from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York.
